RED LEVEL

Red Program Description

This four week preliminary golf program is designed to introduce young golfers ages five to eight to the great game of golf. Every one-hour lesson is filled with learning the fundamentals in a fun and exciting way.

Upon completion of this program the student, with instructor approval, can register for the GREEN LEVEL class to advance to the next level of instruction.

Advancement to the GREEN LEVEL

Red Curriculum

WEEK 1:
Introduction to Golf Swing
Demonstration of 10 finger grips with the hands touching

Alignment of the feet square to the target with the assistance of an alignment aid
Demonstration of basic athletic posture
Demonstration of weight shift from trail leg to front foot

WEEK 2:
Course Management, Playing Skills and Performance
Introduction of juniors to the golf course and club environment

Introduction of juniors to the concept of strategy by designing "holes" that don't rely on golf specific skill but still require thought
Group activities for fun competition

WEEK 3:
History, Rules and Etiquette
Safety guidelines
History--Education on two golf legends
Etiquette--Education on noise level and attire on the golf course
Presentation of four golf legends by student

Student's Assessment Day
